Project Laulima partnered with the Center for START Services to provide a year-long training, consultation and mentoring program to develop the expertise of agency staff and service providers working with children with co-occurring mental health diagnoses and intellectual/developmental disabilities in Hawaii.  The program began in early December of 2015.  The anticipated outcomes include:

  • To improve care coordination and thus improve outcomes for children and youth
  • To develop a learning community that builds connections and partnerships across the state of Hawaii
  • To utilize a mentoring model to sustainably build workforce capacity and enhance career opportunities
  • To make system improvements through the alignment of goals and development of cross-agency policies
